Connecting Children with The Countryside

Nature based learning is at the heart of what we do; encouraging children to engage with the countryside, farming and the outside world.

On daily supervised visits to the onsite farm, children visit the animals in the farmyard to take part in hands-on animal experiences or watch the farmer go about their day-to-day tasks. Rich in outdoor learning opportunities, they hunt for mini beasts on countryside walks, grow vegetables and make bread from wheat they have seen harvested in the fields.

As you would expect from a modern-day nursery group we mirror parent’s routines at home, make all meals freshly onsite and invest in our teams to continually deliver excellent childcare.

Quality Learning Experiences

With a landscape that is constantly changing, we have embraced the ‘planning in the moment’, learning approach.  This enables our Childcare Teams to build upon a child’s natural interest and turn any initiative into a learning opportunity. Children won’t know they are learning; they are just having fun.

Children are exposed to rich learning experiences on the farm, including our Mini Farmers initiative, a perfect blend of hands-on farm activities, outdoor exploration, and nurturing indoor time, we ensure that every child enjoys a balanced routine filled with fun, learning, and relaxation.

Health and wellbeing is important for our bodies, even from a young age, ultimately, it’s the foundation for everything else in a childhood development. Across our nurseries we showcase several exciting and fun ways that for children to be active and ultimately have fun, whilst aiding the development of their bodies.

Following the EYFS, when a child’s time at nursery comes to an end, our goal is to make children ready for mainstream school, with a wider appreciation of the world they live in.
